On Monday, November 14, 2011, people will have a chance to ask two local experts how to grow Hard Fruit and/or Hazelnut Trees on the island. Long time growers Larry Berg and Bruce Holden will be at the Denman Seniors Lounge from 1 -3 pm, ready and willing to answer your questions. This is a FREE event sponsored by Denman WORKS!.
Topics to be covered: types suited to island growing, where to buy, planting, fertilizing, and tending. Please note – a spring workshop will include pruning, picking, juicing, and possibly marketing. Event details will be released in early 2012.
